TAMILNADU GOVERNMENT HAS OPEN UP FOR MDS ADMISSION

Candidates who are claiming to be native of Tamil Nadu and undergone MBBS/BDS course including internship period either in the state of Tamil Nadu or outside Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply for Government quota PG seats along with Nativity certificate in Government and Self-Financing institutions.

Candidates who are native of other states and undergone MBBS/BDS Course including internship period in the state of Tamil Nadu are eligible only for open category of Government quota PG seats in Government and Self-Financing institutions.

ELIGIBILIY CRITERIA

• Candidates seeking admission in MDS Courses, they have to qualify the  National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-NEET MDS 2023 conducted by the National Board of Examination.
• The eligibility criteria prescribed by the Director General of Health Services, Government of India shall be taken into account for admission to MDS courses for the academic year 2023-2024.
• Candidates should be Citizens of India and should have undergone BDS course including the entire Compulsory Rotatory Medical Internship (CRMI) period in the State of Tamil Nadu.
• Candidates who have cleared their BDS Examination and completed/completing the CRMI period on or before 30.06.2023 are only eligible to apply.
• The candidates who are claiming Nativity of Tamil Nadu should upload their Certificates of Nativity of Tamil Nadu issued by the competent authority of the revenue department of Tamil Nadu Government with official seal.
• Candidates who are claiming community reservation of Tamil Nadu should upload both of their

(i) community certificate issued by competent authority of Revenue department of Tamil Nadu Government with official seal And
(ii) community certificate of either of Parents issued by competent authority of Revenue department of Tamil Nadu Government with official seal

The candidates are instructed to upload the following documents in addition to above.

• Copy of Aadhar Card
• Any one of the following as supportive documents
• Driving Licence,
• Voter’s ID,
• Passport
• Copy of Parent’s Documents (Aadhar Card and School Certificates)

Candidates must upload only visibly clear Self attested Photocopies of certificates /documents.

(a) (i) NEET MDS2023-ScoreCard.
(ii) NEET MDS2023 Admit Card.

(b) BDS Degree Certificate and Diploma Certificate or Provisional Pass Certificate.

(c) CRMI Completion Certificate.

(d) Permanent or Provisional Dental Registration Certificate issued by the Dental Council of India /State Dental Council

(e) Community Certificate issued by the competent authority

(f) TNPSC/MRB (through competitive written examination) Selection & Posting Order (For Service Candidates).

(g) Nativity Certificate by competent authority.

Candidates who are claiming Nativity and Community reservation of Tamil Nadu should upload both of their

(i) community certificate issued by competent authority of Revenue department of Tamil Nadu Government with official seal; and
(ii) community certificate of either one of Parents issued by competent authority of Revenue department of Tamil Nadu Government with official seal

(h) For candidates applying under PWD category should obtain recent medical certificate from regional medical board and upload clear copy

(i) To upload eligibility certificate obtained from the TN.Dr. MGR Medical University Guindy Chennai 32. (Only for the candidates who have qualified from other Universities).

COUNSELLING PROCEDURES

• There are four rounds of counseling i.e., Round -1 Round -2, Mop-up and Stray round.
• Mutual transfer/ Individual request for transfer of college will not be permitted under any circumstance.

INFORMATION REGARDING ADMISSION TO MDS COURSE UNDER
MANAGEMENT QUOTA INCLUDING NRI OF SELF FINANCING
DENTAL COLLEGES IN TAMIL NADU

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

• Candidates should be a Citizen of India
• The following guidelines shall be followed regarding admission to MDS Courses under NRI quota in Self Financing Dental Colleges 2023-2024 session.

a) Candidates should be Indian Origin settled in foreign countries.

OR Candidates who were born in foreign countries and whose parents are of Indian Origin.

OR Children of Indian citizen staying abroad for employment, business

OR Children of Indian citizens deputed abroad by Public Sector Undertaking

OR Children of the Official of the Central/State Government on deputation to abroad

b) The candidates seeking admission to NRI Quota should have valid Indian passport.

c) Admission under Non Resident of India scheme may be made on the basis of the marks obtained in the Qualifying Examination as prescribed.

d) The seats under NRI quota should be utilized by the bonafide NRI’s only and for their children or wards. Therefore, the NRI financially supporting the candidates should either be the parent (Father or Mother) of the candidate or the spouse or the blood relatives of the candidates or legally declared as guardian of the candidate by the Court as per provisions in “The Guardians and Wards Act 1890”.

Candidates admitted under “NRI” quota should submit the following documents.

• NRI status of the financial supporter issued by the Indian Embassy of the respective country under their seal.
• Certificate of Relationship between the NRI financial supporter and the candidate issued by the competent authority and valid Indian Passport of the NRI financial supporter.
• NRE (Non Resident External) Bank Account Pass Book of the financial supporter.
• Evidence for payment of Development charges US $1000/- to the college by the NRI financial supporter (One time payment at the time of admission only).

Candidates seeking admission have to qualify the National Eligibility cum ntrance Test-NEET MDS 2023 conducted by the National Board of Examination. courses for the academic year 2023-2024.
