out by CENTAC through their official website www.centacpuducherry.in

KEY POINTS

- Candidates should ensure the following:
- After the Draft Merit List is published, the candidates will be given one or few days to raise objections, if any, and subsequently, the Final Merit List will be published. Separate Merit List will be prepared for Government Quota Seats & Management Quota Seats.
- Once the candidate has been allotted a particular seat, he/she can opt for one of the following
preferences:
- Once the Provisional admission is given, the candidate must download the Provisional
Allotment Order and report to the allotted college within the specified duration

- Candidates who join a post graduate degree course and discontinue on any grounds after the
cut off date has been announced by the MCI are not eligible to apply for 2 subsequent
academic years. - Candidates who take an allotment for PG Degree course in any branch in the final phase
counselling and not join the course on or before the cut-off date are not eligible to apply for
two subsequent academic years. - Candidates who have completed a Post Graduate Degree or candidates who possess a Post
Graduate Degree are not eligible to apply for admission to any other Post Graduate Degree
Courses.
MERIT LIST

Merit list will be based on NEET PG rank of the respective year in which reservation policy of the UT of Puducherry will be applied.

COUNSELLING
- Admission shall be conducted through counselling on the basis of merit, in which reservation policy of UT of Puducherry will be applicable.
- Counselling will be through computer module.
- In case of physical counselling, candidates will be called for counselling according to their ranks in batches. Candidates can choose any one of the branches or colleges available at the time of counselling Option once given during the counselling cannot be changed later.
- Re-allotment from one college to another college is permitted during counselling only, based on merit and rule of reservation.
- Candidates selected for admission should give a self-declaration at the time of admission stating that he or she is liable to be forfeited from admission if found to be guilty of giving incorrect/ false information or suppression of facts at any time on or after admission. If found guilty he/she will not be allowed to apply for Post Graduate Courses for two subsequent academic years. Due to unforeseen reasons, if a candidate cannot attend the physical counselling (mop up) on the specified date and time, he/she can authorize a representative to attend the counselling on his/her behalf. The authorized representative should produce an undertaking and authority letter for allotment along with the requisite original documents. The allotment made to the authorized representative shall be binding on the candidate.
- Candidates are advised to maintain strict discipline at the time of counselling.
- The candidates appearing for allotment by personal appearance should bring the original documents that are to be enclosed with Proforma/Application in original. In any case, candidates without original certificates/documents, shall not be allowed to participate in the counselling. Candidates who have deposited their original documents to Institutions/Universities should bring a certificate stating that “their original certificates are submitted to the Institution/University”.
- Unauthorised absence of candidates for one month and more after joining the course will be treated as ‘discontinued’ and the vacancy will be filled up by the CENTAC depending on the availability of time before the cut-off date.
- The candidates who are selected at the time of counselling shall deposit the tuition fee in the CENTAC Account as fixed by the Fee Committee in respect of Government / Management / NRI Quota Seats.
- Individual request for transfer of college will not be permitted under any circumstances.
- Mutual transfers will not be permitted under any circumstances.
The following details have to be taken note of by the students who attend counselling but not joining the course or cancelling the admission after joining the course after allotment of seat by CENTAC.
After mop up round, the Tuition fee is not refundable even if the candidate does not join after allotment is done or discontinues the course. Therefore, the candidates are advised to do their due diligence before opting for a seat in the mop up round.
SEATS AND METHOD OF SELECTION AND ADMISSION
- Category 1 – Seats in Government Medical / Dental Colleges Allotment for the All India Quota (AIQ) seats is done by the Director General of Health Services, New Delhi. The remaining seats will be allotted under State Quota by CENTAC. Surrendered seats from All
India Quota are also allotted as per reservation guidelines by CENTAC. - Category 2 – Government quota seats in Private Medical/Dental Colleges Government Quota seats are allotted as per reservation guidelines by CENTAC.
- Category 3 – Management quota seats in Private Medical/Dental Colleges Management Quota seat are allotted based on All India Merit by CENTAC. The Minority Quota seats are allotted based on minority Candidates Merit List.
