The degree of your success in cracking an examination rests on how you go about attempting the paper. It is best way for you to showcase the knowledge that you have acquired over months of intensive academic training. Contrary to popular belief true champions face their challenge a night before main event! This is how you too can implement it.
1. Stop reading by early evening of the previous day
2. All further revisions must occur mentally, where you try to summon all the facts that you have studied from the deepest recesses of your memory without a book in hand
3. Avoid chaotic activity and unwind a little. You may go for a stroll in the park or listen to your favourite music
4. Have an early dinner and hit the bed on time. Ensure 8 hours of quality, “mobile phone free “ sleep on the night before the exam. You owe that much to your brain
5. While in bed, close your eyes and visualise the scene of the examination hall the next day. See yourself walking confidently amidst the sea of candidates, taking your place at the table and attempting each question fearlessly.
6. Thank God for the resources and time awarded to you towards preparation for this test
7. Reach the hall early with all necessary formalities. When you are handed the paper, thank God for this opportunity to showcase your knowledge and start.
8. Divide the paper into 3 rounds. Round 1- is where you know the answer before you see the options. Attempt these first, keeping an eye on chances for multiple correct options. Round 2- is where you encounter questions where you need to go through the options carefully, analyse them, apply your mind adequately and then choose an answer. This requires time so be judicious with it. Round 3- where you will come across really tough questions. Here it is up to you to take an educated guess, or leave it alone, based on the negative marking pattern of that particular exam and your performance in the previous 2 rounds.
9. Avoid blind guesses.
10. Check if you’re marking against the right question number in the omr sheet
11. Ensure that you’re pretty much finished with your attempts atleast 10 minutes before time.
12. In the event that more questions fall under round 2 or round 3, DO NOT lose your composure. Take a deep breath, and dig in deep. You would have come across almost every fact at some point in your prep. It’s just a matter of recalling it. So do not get rattled and do not mark any question recklessly.
Always remember, a spellin sparkling diamond isa product of constant and intense pressure. Without the pressure it is nothing but a piece of coal. So embrace the pressure and come out on top. Good luck.
